Survey OPEN!
As you may be aware towards the end of the Spring term and beginning of the Summer term, we ask ALL schools to complete a Girls Football Equal Access Survey.
The survey helps to provide us with a snapshot of what is and isn’t being provided at schools within Southwark with regards to helping us achieve equal access in football for girls at school. The data is also used by the Youth Sport Trust and The Football Association to help shape the programmes and opportunities they offer for all schools around the country.
Our two ambitions and targets as a network remain the same and we are well on the way to achieving them by the end of 2024, but we are not there yet.
National Target
- 90% of schools nationally offering girls equal access to regular extra curricula football
- 75% of schools nationally offering girls equal access to football in PE lessons
Where are we currently at?
Data taken from last year’s surveys was positive, but this doesn’t consider the low number of schools that completed their survey, particularly secondary schools.
- 64% of schools offering girls equal access to regular extra curricula football
- 100% of schools offering girls equal access to football in PE lessons
We cannot stress how important it is that your school completes this year’s survey.
This year’s Girls Football baseline survey is now OPEN and will remain open until Friday 14th June.

The FA Equal Access Survey 2024 (youtube.com)
Your survey will take a max of 10 minutes to complete. There are no wrong or right answers to the questions. As mentioned above the idea is to get a snapshot of what is being provided or not provided for girls at your school.
*All schools that complete their survey will be entered into a prize draw to win equipment for their school.*
