The PE and School Sports Network exclusively hosted a major FA Girls Football partnership launch today at Bacons College.
Barclays announced the biggest funding commitment in the history of women’s and girls football and women’s sport.
The launch was covered by all of the major media outlets across the day and the implications around how the funding will be used to support our primary and secondary schools will be disclosed in due course.
Facilitated by Wilson from our joint Network manager with support from the PE team from Bacon’s College, 22 Bacon’s College girls from years 7-10 were a key part of the launch and were filmed and photographed playing football and being interviewed about their participation in sport.
It was a great day and it was one of the top stories on national News. The girls also got to meet Kelly Smith one of the most capped England women’s players.
